Voyvoda Street Meetings 2002

The Ottoman Bank Archives and Research Centre organised every month, during the academic year 2000-2001, the Voyvoda Street Meetings. On this occasion, it constituted a platform where eminent economists and historians shared their knowledge and experiences with their colleagues, students and dilettantes interested in economic history. The Voyvoda Street Meetings continued in the academic year 2001-2002. The principal theme of these meetings was "Life in the Ottoman Empire (1780-1920)". During the meetings where was treated political, economic, social and cultural life of the Ottoman Empire under an interdisciplinary approach, academicians shared their knowledge on their researches with their colleagues, students and amateurs.
